LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Tennis weekly award winner on Monday, as Marymount’s Nathaniel Tesfaye and Pratt’s Julia Ognibene won the Men’s and Women’s Player of the Week award, respectively.

Brief Outlook of Week: Nathaniel Tesfaye brought home a pair of wins in singles across the weekend for the Saints, including a 6-2, 6-1 win against Pratt on Saturday and 6-0, 6-2 win on Sunday against Virginia State. He also won both of his doubles match ups throughout the course of the busy weekend.

Brief Outlook of Week: Julia Ognibene contributed a pair of victories to Pratt's 4-3 triumph over Marymount on Saturday. She teamed up with Victoria Delgado to win at love at No. 3 doubles and secured a straight-set, 7-6 (1), 6-1 win at No. 4 singles. The Cannoneers are now winners of three straight and improve to 2-0 in league play.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Nicholas Brown (So., Immaculata): Nick Brown won both of his second singles matches this week winning in straight sets on March 25th 6-3, 6-3 vs Penn State Brandywine, and winning an AEC second singles match vs Neumann 6-2, 6-2 on Saturday. Brown also won his first doubles match on March 25th defeating Penn State Brandywine 6-3.
Jason Petrin (Sr., Neumann): Jason Petrin went 2-0 in doubles and 1-1 in singles play in a 2-0 week overall, 1-0 in conference action. In a 5-2 win at Rutgers-Camden, Petrin and partner Vince Landis won 6-4 at second doubles. Against Immaculata, duo won 6-2 at first doubles. The senior then won 6-2, 6-0 at first singles in a 6-1 win against the Mighty Macs.
Mikah Liu (So., Pratt): Mikah Liu went undefeated on Saturday against Marymount, picking up a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles with Justin Urbi and collecting a 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles. The sophomore remains undefeated in league play through two weeks of the season.
Hailey Elwell (Fr., Immaculata): Hailey Elwell won both of her singles matches this week in straight sets. She won her match vs Penn State Brandywine on March 25th 6-3, 6-1, and she won her AEC match on Saturday vs Neumann 6-1, 6-1.
Hana Kimmey (Gr., Marymount): Hana Kimmey won both of her singles last week, including a win at the #1 spot over Pratt on Saturday, 6-3, 6-2. The graduate student took home wins in #1 doubles across both matches to add to her impressive week on the court.
Kaitlyn Smith (Sr., Neumann): Kaitlyn Smith picked up wins in doubles and singles action in a 4-3 win over Immaculata in the lone match of the week. In doubles action, Smith and partner Molly McGee won 6-4 in the second flight. The senior followed with a battle at third singles. After dropping the first set 6-3, she came back to win 7-5, 7-5.
