Women's Swimming Major Awards and All-Conference Announced

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the 2025 Women's Swimming Major Award Winners and All-Conference teams on Tuesday afternoon as St. Mary’s and Marymount each collect major awards.

Rookie of the Year honors went to first year Miah Lopez from Marymount who had an incredible first Atlantic East Conference Championship Meet. Montgomery, Md. Native placed second in the 200 butterfly (2:14.59) and the 100 butterfly (58.68) along with another silver in the 200 IM (2:17.24). Lopez combined with teammates took gold in the 400 medley relay, in the butterfly leg Lopez going (58.73) 

Swimmer of the Year went to St. Mary’s Kelsie Miller for the second year in a row. Miller took home gold in all three of her individual events and another NCAA B cut in the 100 butterfly (55.22). Taking the titles in both the 200 IM (2:08.65) and the 200 butterfly (2:09.80). Miller was also a leg in the 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, 400 yard medley relay, and the 400 freestyle relay. 

Marywood was awarded Coaching Staff of the Year, as voted on by the coaches of the conference. Marywood is led by Shana Keeler and assisted by Shandra Keeler, Jennifer Manley, and Maria Rossi. 

Lastly, the Atlantic East Elite 20 award winner for women's swimming, which is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average competing at the finals site at each of the Atlantic East's 20 team championships, is Payton So from Marymount University. Junior So maintains a 3.9 while majoring in health science. In swimming, the Elite 20 winners are chosen from the top two team finishers at the championship.
