HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Soccer weekly award winners on Monday, with Marywood’s Bryn Stiles and Marymount’s Isabelle Davis being named winners.
Player of the Week: Bryn Stiles
School: Marywood
Class: Junior
Position: Forward
Hometown: Clarks Summit, Pa.
High School: Abington Heights
Brief Outlook of Week: Stiles scored three goals in a pair of wins to help Marywood improve to 10-1 overall record. Trailing by two early goals, she kicked off a 4-3 comeback win over Wilkes with a goal in the 20th minute. The junior then scored both goals in a 2-0 victory against Neumann to begin Atlantic East play, scoring twice in a 15-minute span.
Defensive Player of the Week: Isabelle Davis
School: Marymount
Class: Senior
Position: Defender
Hometown: Alexandria, Va.
High School: Thomas Edison
Brief Outlook of Week: Davis held down the back line for the Saints in the 3-1 win over Pratt on Saturday, keeping the Cannoneers to just three total shots. Against nationally-ranked CNU on Wednesday, she was part of the back line that held the Captains scoreless through the first half to give Marymount a fighting chance against the touted opponent.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Kira Bradley, Gwynedd Mercy: In two games this week, Bradley finished with seven goals, an assist, 15 points, 16 shots and 12 shots on goal in a 2-0 week of play. The senior recorded three goals against Penn State Schuylkill before tallying four goals and one assist against Saint Elizabeth.
Sam Terry, Immaculata: Terry delivered a standout performance in Immaculata’s 2-0 conference victory over Centenary on Saturday, anchoring a defensive unit that held the opposition to just two total shots. The defender also had a major impact offensively, scoring the game-winning goal off a free kick from over 30 yards out in the 39th minute, putting the Mighty Macs ahead 1-0.
Arianna Garcia, Marymount: Garcia netted the game-winning goal against Pratt on Saturday to give the Saints their first conference win of the season. She had seven shots throughout the week, with five on target, securing two points in the two matches.
