Marymount's Cardillo Receives Second Runner of the Week Award

HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men’s Cross Country weekly award winner on Monday, as Marywood’s Joseph Cardillo was awarded his second Runner of the Week award this season.

High School: Dunmore
Brief Outlook of Week: In garnering his second Runner of the Week award this season, Cardillo ran an impressive 25:36.4 at the Connecticut College Invite and finished 100th in a field of 264, tallying 97 points for the Pacers. The senior’s staggering 5:09 mile average pace only furthers the success he’s having on the ground during his senior season.


Weekly Honor Roll:
Conner Brennan, Gwynedd Mercy:
Brennan clocked a time of 28:58.2 across 8k over the weekend. The freshman’s average pace of 5:49 minutes per mile landed him a 262nd place finish out of 327 runners at the Rowan Border Battle

Henry Brys, Marymount: Competing at the South Region Showdown, Brys recorded a time just 1.3 seconds shy of his personal best. The Arlington, Va., native completed the 8k course in 28:45.3 and secured an individual finish of 125 out of the strong 239 runners in the field.

Connor Kakowski, Immaculata: Kakowski led the way for Immaculata at the Rowan Border Battle, turning in a strong performance with a time of 29:08.6, just 1.6 seconds shy of his personal best, good for a 269th place individual finish. Kakowski’s effort paced the team and demonstrated consistency in one of the season’s most challenging meets as he averaged a 5:51 pace on the 8k course.
