Marywood's Bryce Ryder named Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men’s Cross Country weekly award winner on Monday, as Marywood’s Bryce Ryder won the Runner of the Week.

Class: Junior
Hometown: Lewisburg, Pa.  
High School: Lewisburg
Brief Outlook of Week: Ryder took first place overall at the Misericordia Invitational. He completed the 4K course in 12:29.9, averaging just north of a five-minute pace. Ryder outpaced Dickinson's Brock Overlander by 2.5 seconds for the top prize. Marywood finished second out of nine teams at the meet.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Jodi Johnson (Gr., Neumann): In his first meet as a Knight, Jodi Johnson led Neumann at the Bryn Mawr Invitational. The graduate student finished 16th overall (10th in scoring) with a time of 18:42.6 in the 5K.

Samuel Domencic (Fy., Immaculata): Domencic finished 12th overall in the Bryn Mawr Invitational on Friday evening. Running his first collegiate race, Domencic finished the 5k event with a time of 17:52.10.

Justin Cai (Fy., Pratt): Justin Cai led Pratt in his first collegiate race posting a 5k time of 18:08.5 to collect 21st overall at the TCNJ Blue/Gold Invitational and helping Pratt to a third-place finish out of four teams.

Sebastian DeSimone (Jr. Gwynedd Mercy): DeSimone led Gwynedd Mercy with a time of 19:33.40 in the Bryn Mawr College Invitational to kick off the season.
