Marymount the top pick in WSOC Preseason Coaches' Poll

LANCASTER, Pa. – Defending Atlantic East Conference champion Marymount was picked to defend its title after the coaches make their picks in the 2024 AEC Preseason Coaches’ Poll on Monday.
 
The Saints, who defeated Marywood 1-0 in overtime last season in the AEC title tilt, received 33 points and three first-place votes.
 
Marywood was picked second and received 32 points, along with four first-place votes. Coaches were asked to rank the teams in order of finish and could not vote for their own teams.
 
Neumann was third with 25 points, followed by Gwynedd Mercy in fourth at 20. Centenary was fifth with 18 points, Immaculata was sixth with 14 points with Pratt seventh at six points.
 
Action starts on Friday, August 30 with the Atlantic East Championship slated to begin on Saturday, November 2 with the fourth seed taking on the fifth seed. The AEC Championship is scheduled for Saturday, November 9, at the highest remaining seed.
