LANCASTER, Pa. – The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men’s Soccer All-Conference teams and major awards on Wednesday, as voted upon by the coaches. Coaches nominated their players but could not vote for their own teams.
 
Marymount captured two of the major awards, as Leonardo Torres and Jefferson Lopez Coreas were named Offensive Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year respectively.
 
Neumann won two of the major awards as well, as Dominic Petruzzelli was named the Defensive Player of the Year and Landon Moroney won the Elite 20 Award.
 
Torres, a first-team All-AEC selection, led the conference in several statistical categories including goals (17), assists (8), points (42) and shots at 64.
 
Lopez Coreas, also a first-team selection, was fourth in the conference with 19 points and had two game winning goals.
 
Petruzzelli, a first-team selection, led a Knight defensive unit that posted a 0.95 Goals Against Average and allowed just two goals in conference play during the regular season. The Knights, as a unit, only allowed more than one goal in a game twice during the regular season.
 
Moroney, a sophomore, had a 3.99 GPA in Nursing. The Elite 20 Award is given to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA competing at the final site of the championship and finishing in the top two teams. 
 
The coaching staff at Immaculata University was named as the Coaching Staff of the Year by their peers. The Mighty Macs nearly doubled their win total from last season, on its way to a 4-2 mark in the Atlantic East and a first-round bye.
