LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Field Hockey weekly award winners on Monday, as Marywood’s Cydney Lahr and Manhattanville’s Hannah Doherty won Player and Defensive Player of the Week honors respectively.

Player of the Week:
Name: Cydney Lahr
School: Marywood
Class: Graduate Student
Position: Forward
Hometown: Herndon, Pa.   
High School: Line Mountain
Brief Outlook of Week: Lahr became the third student-athlete in Marywood field hockey history to reach the 100 Point Club with six goals in two goals. Lahr scored twice in the Pacers' 8-0 shutout of SUNY Morrisville. She found the back of the cage four times in a 5-4 victory over DeSales. Tied at 4-4 in the second half, Lahr followed through on a rebound to score the game-winning goal in the 38th minute. Her goal lifted the Pacers to their fifth consecutive victory. 

Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Hannah Doherty
School: Manhattanville
Class: Sophomore
Position: Goalkeeper
Hometown: Claymont, Del.
High School: Mount Pleasant
Brief Outlook of Week: Made four saves in the Valiants' lone action this week, allowing just one goal on a penalty stroke on Saturday against King's.
 
Weekly Honor Roll:
Laura Filchner (Sr., Gwynedd Mercy): Filchner recorded a goal (53:31) on her only shot and  provided an assist in the Griffins' 4-3 loss to FDU-Florham. 
 
Julia Levase (Sr., Immaculata): Julia Levase had a combined 17 saves on 28 shots faced in Immaculata's two games this week. Levase had nine saves vs Stockton on 12 shots faced on October 2nd, and she had eight saves on 16 shots faced against Kean on October 5th.
