Centenary's Flores; Marywood's Menzzasalma win Women's Soccer Weekly Awards

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Soccer weekly award winners on Monday, as Centenary’s Liliana Flores and Marywood’s Mia Menzzasalma won Player and Defensive Player of the Week honors respectively.

Player of the Week:
Name: Liliana Flores
School: Centenary
Class: Junior
Position: Forward
Hometown: Dover, N.J.   
High School: Dover
Brief Outlook of Week: The Junior forward recorded three goals and one assist on the week helping the Cyclones post a 2-0 record. She had a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win over Old Westbury and a two goals in a win over Lehman

Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Mia Menzzasalma
School: Marywood
Class: First-Year
Position: Defender
Hometown: Monroe, N.Y.   
High School: Monroe-Woodbury
Brief Outlook of Week: Menzzasalma led a defensive unit that kept Wilkes to without a shot on goal in the Pacers' 1-0 victory on Wednesday. The Colonels registered just two total shots — none on target — as Marywood defeated their Northeastern Pennsylvania rivals for just the third time (3-15-1) in program history. 

Weekly Honor Roll:
Kat Thomsen (Jr., Pratt): Kat Thomsen scored both of Pratt's goals in a 3-2 defeat on Saturday to SUNY Delhi in their lone game of the week.
 
Josephine Sorce (Gr., Marywood): Sorce scored the lone goal in the Pacers' 1-0 win over Wilkes on Wednesday. In the 62nd minute, Sorce took an 19-yard shot into the top shelf off of an Elena De Los Santos' feed. 
 
Emma Ferfecki (Jr., Centenary): The Junior goalkeeper posted seven saves and two shutouts on the week. Ferfecki faced seven shots on goal across both matches
 
Lexa Swekosky (Fy., Marymount): Playing all 180 minutes for the Saints on the backline last week, first-year Lexa Swekosky continued to be a prominent force for the Saints' defense. Keeping #3 CNU to just a pair of goals and holding Mary Washington to one, Swekosky helped give Marymount a chance against powerful regional opponents.
