LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Soccer weekly award winners on Monday, as Marymount’s Breanna Harkins and Sophia Diggs won Player and Defensive Player of the Week honors respectively.

Brief Outlook of Week: Senior Breanna Harkins helped the Saints get off to a 2-0 start in Atlantic East action last week, netting three goals across two matches for six total points. In Saturday's match on the road at Pratt, Harkins scored a pair of goals to help secure the key AEC win. To date, she has five goals on the year.
Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Sophia Diggs
School: Marymount
Class: Junior
Position: Defensive Midfield
Hometown: West Point, Va.
High School: West Point
Brief Outlook of Week: Junior Sophia Diggs played a significant role in the Saints' 2-0 week in Atlantic East action. Providing stout defense in an effort to allow just one goal across 180 minutes of play, Diggs also scored her first goal of the season in Saturday's win at Pratt.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Bridget Cannon (So., Gwynedd Mercy): Cannon totaled seven points in a 2-1 week for the Griffins with two goals and three assists. She recorded a goal (4-0, 61:58) and three assists (19:17, 33:55, 80:41) in Gwynedd Mercy University's 6-0 win over Penn State Schuylkill on Monday (Oct. 7). On Wednesday (Oct. 9), she netted a penalty kick at 16:43 (1-0) to give the Red and Gold the one-goal edge they needed to earn their first conference win in a 3-2 final versus Pratt Institute. Cannon was responsible for one shot in the Griffins' 4-1 loss at Bryn Mawr (Oct. 12).
Carly Coleman (Fr., Immaculata): Carly Coleman had a goal in each of Immaculata's games this week. She scored in their conference game against Marymount on October 9th, and she scored in Immaculata's 2-1 conference win over Centenary on October 12th.
Riley Mulherin (Sr., Marywood): Mulherin led the Pacers to a pair of wins with a goal and an assist. She became the fifth player in Marywood women's soccer history to join the 100 Point Club. She reached the milestone with an assist of Maura Kirkpatrick's 20-yard strike in a 2-0 win over King's. Mulherin scored the game-winning goal when she connected for a 25-yard goal to the top far-corner in a 2-0 decision against Neumann.
Marisa Nicolucci (So., Neumann): Marisa Nicolucci had a goal and an assist in a 1-1 week for Neumann to open conference action. In a 3-2 win over Centenary, the sophomore put the Knights up 2-1 with her first goal of the season. She then assisted in the eventual game-winner with just over two-minutes left in the game. Nicolucci finished the week with five shots, three coming on net.
Liliana Flores (Jr., Centenary): Had two goals and one assist on the week for the Cyclones.
Rebecca Gordon (So., Gwynedd Mercy): Gordon was dominant from the back row in a 6-0 win over Penn State Schuylkill (Oct. 7) with two goals, two assists, and 10 shots versus the Nittany Lions. She found junior Natalie Morris (Boyertown, Pa.) for the game's first goal at 15:13 (1-0). Then scored the second just four minutes later; 2-0 (19:17). Gordon emerged again at the end of the affair to assist senior forward Bethany Beinlich (Forksville, Pa.) (5-0, 71:08) and score her second tally (6-0, 80:41). Gordon also recorded a shot in games versus Pratt Institute (W, 3-2 on Oct. 9) and Bryn Mawr (L, 1-4 on Oct. 12) to finish the week with a dozen (12) attempts.
Emily Guthier (Jr., Immaculata): Emily Guthier had a combined 13 saves on a combined 29 shots faced in Immaculata's two games this past week. Guthier had nine saves on 22 shots faced against Marymount on October 9th. Guthier had four saves on seven shots faced in Immaculata's 2-1 win at Centenary on October 12th.
Carly Walters (Jr., Marywood): Walters returned to the lineup for the first time in a month and registered a game-winning goal in a 2-0 win over King's. She headed a Josephine Sorce corner kick into the net in the 43rd minute over the Monarchs. Walters led a defensive unit that shut out both King's and Neumann, limiting both teams to four shots on goal.
Lex Navarro (Jr., Neumann): Lax Navarro went 1-1 in net to open conference action for the Knights. In a 3-2 win against Centenary, the sophomore made one save. She followed with seven saves against Marywood in an eventual 2-0 loss.
