LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week ending, September 10^th. Joseph Cardillo led Marywood to earn the honor.

Name: Joseph Cardillo
School: Marywood
Class: Sophomore
Hometown: Dunmore, Pa.
High School: Dunmore
Brief Outlook of Week: Cardillo broke the Marywood school record in the 6K at Vassar. He finished the course in 19:36 to take down three-time conference champion David Haines' 2017 record by 15 seconds. Cardillo beat his PR by 42 seconds. The Pacers finished third overall behind No. 9 Williams and regionally ranked Vassar.

Weekly Honor Roll

Ivan Zavala-Zavala (Jr., Immaculata) – Zavala-Zavala finished 13th overall in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Cross Country Championships hosted by Jefferson University with a time of 28:52:.2 on a tough course at the Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia. The event field consisted of Division II, strong regional Division III and Junior college programs.
