Guiot and Dijkema Headline Men's Tennis All Conference

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men's Tennis All-Conference teams and major award winners on Thursday, as Marymount University and Neumann University grabbed major honors.

Two Marymount teammates earned Player and Rookie of the Year honors for the Atlantic East. Dorian Guiot played No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 singles where he finished the season undefeated in conference play and 15–1 overall. Guiot nabbed his second straight All Conference First team recognition.

Rookie of the Year honors went to Seb Dijkema who finished conference play 2-0 at No. 1 singles and was 16-3 overall playing No. 1, Now. 2 and No. 3 singles throughout the season. Dijkema teamed up with Player of the Year Guiot at first at doubles to go 4-2 at throughout the season and 1-0 in Atlantic East play.

Marymount garnered Coaching Staff of the Year after earning back to back Atlantic East Conference Titles. The Saints are led by head coach Tim Bainton and assisted by Ana Schneider Jerez, Scott Farmer, and David M. Evinger. Marymount finished undefeated in conference play and with an overall record of 14-4.

Lastly, the Atlantic East Elite 20 award winner for men's tennis, which is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average competing at the finals site at each of the Atlantic East's 20 team championships, was awarded to Neumann’s Anthony Carpinella. The sophomore maintains a 3.967 GPA majoring in data science analysis. For the entire selection criteria and process, click here.
