LANCASTER, Pa. – The 2023 Atlantic East Conference Men's Basketball Playoffs are set to begin on Monday, February 20th with the champion crowned on Saturday, February 25th. The Atlantic East Champion will earn the conference's NCAA Division III Championship automatic qualifier (AQ).
Claiming the top seed and a first round bye will be Marymount who finished the regular season with an 10-2 conference record. Neumann receives the second seed in the tournament after a 9-3 Atlantic East play.
The full tournament seeding is as follows: 1. Marymount, 2. Neumann 3. Gwynedd Mercy, 4. Immaculata, 5. Cabrini, and 6. Marywood.
The tournament will begin on Monday, February 20
th with the No. 3 seed Gwynedd Mercy hosting the No. 6 seed Marywood, and the No. 4 seed Immaculata hosting the No. 5 seed Cabrini. The semifinal round will take place on Wednesday February 22
nd as the top two seeds host. No. 1 Marymount will host the lowest remaining seed, while No. 2 Neumann will host the highest remaining seed from the first round matchups. Game times are subject to change.
Three different teams have won a men's basketball Atlantic East title, as Marymount will look to win their first conference championship. Neumann and Gwynedd Mercy each have one title and will look to add to that this season.
