LANCASTER, Pa. - After a successful year of conference competition, the league office is proud to announce the Atlantic East Commissioner's Awards and Mike Drass Trophy for the 2021-22 academic year.
The awards are based on a point system for 20 different conference sports in the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons. For more information on the point system, please click

This year, the Cabrini University Cavaliers claimed all three league awards: the Atlantic East Commissioner's Men's Award, the Atlantic East Commissioner's Women's Award as well as the Mike Drass Trophy.
The Mike Drass Trophy, named after the late Mike Drass, former Athletics Director and Football Coach for Wesley College, was earned by the Cavaliers, totaling 134 points through all conference sports. Drass was the AD for the Wolverines from May 2003 until his passing in May 2018. He also coached one of the most successful DIII football programs for 26 seasons. He was an instrumental piece to the seven founding members of the Atlantic East Conference.
In total, Cabrini won 9 conference championships this academic year between its men's and women's sports teams. The Cavs now have an Atlantic East best 23 conference titles since the inception of the league in 2018.
On the men's side, Cabrini earned the Commissioner's Award with 62 points. Second-place Marymount University was only 2 points behind with 60. On the women's side, Marymount and Marywood University tied for second-place as they sat 5 points back from Cabrini.
At Cabrini, its male teams won four conference championships while the women's teams won five.
Totaling 134 points, the Cavs withstood Marymount in the Mike Drass Trophy race by 7 points. Marymount University finished as the runner-up in 9 conference championships this season, while also winning two titles, to finish with 127 points. The Saints were followed by Marywood University with 116 points, Immaculata University with 89 points, Neumann University with 69 points, Gwynedd Mercy University with 65 points, and Centenary University with 19 points.
