LANCASTER, Pa. - Cabrini University finished at the top of the 2022 Atlantic East Conference Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll, as voted upon by the conference's head coaches.

With a third-straight conference title in sight, the Cavs earned 25 points and five first-place votes to land at number 1. The other first-place vote was given to Marymount University, who finished second in the poll with 21 points. 

The Pacers of Marywood University landed at third in the poll with 16 points while Neumann University and Immaculata University were tied for fourth with 10 points each. Gwynedd Mercy University rounded out the poll with 8 points, respectively.

Gwynedd Mercy will open their season on Wednesday, February 16. Marymount will see action on Saturday, February 19 while Marywood, Immaculata, Cabrini and Neumann open up February 24 and 26. Conference play begins on Thursday, March 31 with a contest between Cabrini and Immaculata.
 

The 2022 Atlantic East Tournament is set to begin with the quarterfinal round on Saturday, April 30, followed by the semifinals on Wednesday, May 4 and the title contest on Saturday, May 7.
