Neumann Selected as the Clear Favorite in the Men's Basketball Preseason Poll

LANCASTER, Pa. – Neumann is the clear favorite in the Atlantic East Men’s Basketball Coaches Preseason Poll, with 36 total points and six first place votes.

The Knights will be led by the 2021 Player of the Year for the Atlantic East, Jalen Vaughns. Neumann had a strong 2021-22 season with a 21-8 record overall and a 10-2 finish in conference play. Teammate and 2021 Defensive Player of the Year, Tony James, will add to the strong Neumann lineup that hope to repeat as Atlantic East Champions.

Landing second with one first place nod is Marymount finishing with 30 total points. The Saints fell in the Championship a year ago and will look to avenge that loss this season. Marymount was successful in conference play last season with a 10-2 record in the Atlantic East. They will look to build on their winning trend this year.
