Schumacher, Krouse Named Women's Soccer Players of the Week
LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women's Soccer Player of the Week honors on Monday afternoon, as Immaculata University's Julia Schumacher was named Offensive Player of the Week and Gwynedd Mercy University's Lauriel Krouse earned Defensive Player of the Week.

Brief Outlook of Week: Schumacher had a strong week for the Mighty Macs, scoring a pair of goals while also adding an assist to lead the Macs in a three-game week topped by an impressive 8-0 victory over Keystone on Saturday afternoon. On Thursday opposite Penn State Harrisburg, Schumacher scored her first goal of the week for what was the equalizer at the time as the score came even at 1-1 in the 62nd minute. On Saturday afternoon, Schumacher opened the scoring for the Macs once again with a perfect strike from just inside the 18 to give Immaculata an early 1-0 lead over Keystone. Schumacher helped this lead grow moments later when she provided a perfect assist across the box to Riley Rudd who finished with a goal to give the Macs a 2-0 lead in the 10th minute of play. For the year, Schumacher now has three goals and one assist for a total of seven points, which ranks her in a tie for second on the team in both goals and points.

Brief Outlook of Week: Krouse tended the net for a full 110-minute double-overtime draw against Delaware Valley this past week, making a perfect nine saves for the shutout.
