The next day, in a 2-0 win over Penn State Altoona, Attardi suited up in net and made three saves for the shutout win.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Diana VanSickle (Cabrini / Senior / Midfielder): VanSickle delivered in the clutch for the Cavaliers as her game winning goal broke a 0-0 tie with under three minutes left in regulation. The senior collected her first goal of the season thanks to a well timed pass from classmate Katelyn Gilinger. VanSickle finished with a team-high three shots, including two on goal, to pace the Cavalier offense in their 1-0 victory over the visiting Bryn Mawr College Owls.
Kelli Dombroski (Immaculata / Freshman / Midfielder): Dombroski turned in a great performance on Friday evening in the Immaculata women’s soccer teams’ season-opening victory over Penn State Lehigh Valley by a final of 13-0. Dombroski registered a hat trick in this contest by scoring a pair of goals in the first half of play before adding another goal in the 48th minute to complete the trick in under 50 minutes of action. With this accomplishment, Dombroski became just the eighth different Mighty Mac to register a hat trick and the first to do so in their collegiate debut. For the week, Kelli recorded six total shots with four of those shots finding their way on goal and three of those shots resulted in goals, which gave the freshman a total of three goals and six points on the week.
Ashley Tutzauer (Cabrini / Junior / Goalkeeper): Tutzauer needed just one game to collect her first shutout of the year as the Blue and White took down the visiting Bryn Mawr College Owls by a 1-0 final on Friday evening. The junior faced a total of 13 shots and finished her night with four saves to help lift the Cavs to their first victory of the season.
Kiyanna Gill (Wesley / Sophomore / Goalkeeper): Gill faced nine shots in the Wolverines' lone game this past weekend, making eight saves to help Wesley push Washington (Md.) College to extra time before falling on a penalty kick in the 106th minute.
