Monzo, Sieminski Seal Softball Weekly Awards
LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the weekly awards for softball on Monday afternoon, as Wesley College's Gabriella Monzo was named Player of the Week and Neumann University's Jen Sieminski was tabbed Pitcher of the Week.
Player of the Week:

Brief Outlook of Week: Monzo hit .750 (6-8) on the week with six RBIs, a pair of doubles and a run scored in Wesley's four games on the week. In Wesley's 12-1 win against Marywood, Monzo went 3-for-3 with a season-high five runs batted in.
Pitcher of the Week:
Name: Jen Sieminski
School: Neumann University
Class: Junior
Hometown: Bear, Del.
High School: Caravel Academy
Brief Outlook of Week: In her lone game of the week, Sieminski pitched a one-hit complete game shutout as Neumann opened conference action. In the 3-0 win over Cabrini, the junior pitched 7.0 innings and struck out six, while walking just one batter.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Keani Hindle (Immaculata / Sophomore / Shortstop): Hindle led the Macs to a 2-1-1 week, including an Atlantic East opening doubleheader split against Gwynedd Mercy. She was 7-for-15, hitting safely in all four games, for a .467 average. She scored three, drove in eight, had two triples, and two home runs.
Kirstie Alvarez (Marywood / Junior / Pitcher): Alvarez went 2-1 and picked up a save for good measure in a 3-3 week (1-1 Atlantic East) for the Pacers. She struck out 17 in 20 innings of work, pitched three complete games with one shutout, and had a 1.75 ERA. She held opponents to a .176 batting average and gave up 13 hits in five appearances. At the plate, she hit .313 with a homer and three RBI.
