Anderson, Korte' Tabbed Softball Weekly Honorees
LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the weekly awards for softball on Monday afternoon and for the second time this season, Wesley College's Jessica Anderson was named Pitcher of the Week, while Neumann University's Kate Korte' earned Player of the Week.

High School: Egg Harbor Twp.
Brief Outlook of Week: Korte' hit .571 in a 3-1 week for the Knights. She had eight hits, including a double and home run (a grand slam), and also scored three runs. The junior tallied five RBI in a 19-6 win over Cedar Crest, bringing her total for the week to nine RBI, along with two walks and not getting struck out.

Name: Jessica Anderson
School: Wesley College
Class: Freshman
Hometown: Smyrna, Del.
High School: Smyrna
Brief Outlook of Week: Anderson picked up two wins in three starts on the week, including picking up her first collegiate shutout in a 3-0 win on Saturday over the Penn St. Abington Lions. In that shutout, Anderson shut down the Lion bats to the tune of nine strikeouts, with just two hits on 24 batters and no walks. Through four games, she tossed 20 innings for 18 strikeouts and two complete games.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Lauren Waller (Gwynedd Mercy / Junior / Third Baseman): Waller went 5-for-9 in a doubleheader sweep at Centenary on Monday. Four of her five hits went for extra bases (3 doubles, 1 triple). She added five runs scored with two RBI and a 1.111 slugging percentage. In game one, she was 2-for-3 with three runs and a double. In game two, Waller went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, a triple, and two RBI.
Megan DiRubbio (Wesley / Senior / Outfielder): DiRubbio knocked in eight hits on the week with three runs batted in and two runs scored. On the base paths, she stole six bases in five games to continue to lead Atlantic East in stolen bases with 13.
