HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Tennis weekly award winners on Monday, as Pallavi Verghese of Pratt was named Player of the Week.

School: Pratt
Class: Senior
Hometown: Fayetteville, Ark.
High School: Fayetteville
Brief Outlook of Week: Verghese led Pratt to a 7-0 road shutout of Farmingdale State on Saturday with wins in the lead singles and doubles matches. The senior teamed with Beatrice Crespo to secure a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles. Verghese dropped just two games in a 6-2, 6-0 triumph at No. 1 singles to remain perfect on the season.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Sophia Carey, Immaculata: At No. 2 singles, Carey earned a 6-3, 6-1 straight-set victory. Carey also teamed with Hailey Elwell at No. 1 doubles, where the duo defeated Eastern 6-3. Carey’s performance helped Immaculata secure the No. 1 doubles point and gave the Mighty Macs a strong start in their season-opening contest.
