Atlantic East Conference Announces Winter and Spring Team Academic Awards

HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced its winning squads for the Winter and Spring Team Academic Awards on Monday, as four institutions received accolades.

The Team Academic honor is awarded to the institution's team that had the top GPA in its respective sport through the semester(s) it played in. The GPA is calculated for each season as follows:

  • Fall Season Teams (WSOC, MSOC, WVB, FH, WXC, MXC): Fall Semester Grades

  • Winter Season Teams (WBB, MBB, WSWIM, MSWIM): Cumulative of Fall and Spring Semester Grades

  • Spring Season Teams (MLAX, WLAX, BB, SB, FLAG, MT&F, WT&F, MTEN, WTEN): Spring Semester Grades

Two schools each won winter academic honors, with three schools winning spring academic honors. The winter top GPA came from Gallaudet Women’s Swimming with a 3.69, while the top GPA winner from the spring was Marywood's Women's Tennis program, who posted a 3.85, which was also the top GPA for the year. 

Overall Marywood held the most team GPA winners with nine, followed by Immaculata with four teams. Pratt had a strong fall with two winners, while Gallaudet had an equal two winners in the winter, along with Neumann's two in the spring.

Marywood's Women's Tennis 3.85 matches the top GPA from 2024-25, which was also a 3.85.

Winter: 

  • Men’s Basketball: Marywood- 3.44
  • Women’s Basketball: Marywood- 3.58
  • Men’s Swimming: Gallaudet- 3.60
  • Women’s Swimming: Gallaudet- 3.69
Spring: 
  • Baseball: Marywood- 3.47
  • Women’s Flag Football: Marywood- 3.57
  • Men’s Lacrosse: Immaculata- 3.24
  • Women’s Lacrosse: Neumann- 3.56
  • Softball: Neumann- 3.79
  • Men’s Tennis: Immaculata- 3.79
  • Women’s Tennis: Marywood- 3.85
  • Men’s Track and Field: Immaculata- 3.46
  • Women’s Track and Field: Marywood-3.66


FALL TEAM ACADEMIC AWARD WINNERS:
Field Hockey: Marywood- 3.48
Men's Cross Country: Pratt- 3.61
Women's Cross Country: Pratt- 3.77
Men's Soccer: Marywood- 3.451
Women's Soccer: Marywood- 3.68
Women's Volleyball: Immaculata- 3.58
