Men’s Cross Country Major Awards Announced

HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the 2026 Men’s Cross Country major award winners and All-Conference teams on Wednesday. The top 14 finishers at the conference championship made up the all-conference squads.

Connor Brennan, a sophomore from Gwynedd Mercy, received his first-ever Runner of the Year award, finishing with a time of 28:35.1, shaving off an entire minute and four tenths of a second from last year's time at the same Championship course. Rookie of the Year honors went to Marymount's Philologus Smith, who finished second, with a time of 29:06.2, a 5:51.3 average mile pace.

Brennan also received the Atlantic East Elite Scholar Athlete Award, which is given to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA competing at the final site of the championship, and is a finisher in the top two teams. The Accounting major holds a 3.77 GPA.

Seeing a tie on the ballot, Co-Coaching Staff of the Year was awarded to Gwynedd Mercy University and Immaculata University.
