LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Lacrosse weekly award winners on Monday, as Marymount’s Tess Valentino and Neumann’s Krista Geibler won Player and Defensive Player of the Week honors respectively.
Player of the Week:
Name: Tess Valentino
School: Marymount University
Class: Junior

Hometown: Baltimore, Md.

Brief Outlook of Week: Tess Valentino netted six goals for Marymount in their 20-0 win over Eastern Mennonite on Wednesday. The junior added a ground ball and went a perfect six-for-six in shots.
Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Krista Geibler
School: Neumann University
Class: Junior
Position: Midfield
Hometown: Morton, Pa.
High School: Ridley
Brief Outlook of Week: Krista Geibler had seven caused turnovers, three ground balls, three draw controls, two goals and an assist in a 1-1 week for the Knights. Against Stevenson, the junior had three caused turnovers and a groundball, goal and draw control in the 17-11 loss. She followed with four caused turnovers, a goal and an assist and a pair of draw controls and groundballs in a 19-6 win at Bryn Athyn.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Rebecca Gordon (So., Gwynedd Mercy): Gordon recorded a career-high seven points (4g, 3a) in the Griffins' effort against Albright College.
Jacki Murray (5th., Immaculata): Jacki Murray scored four goals for Immaculata over their two games this week. Murray scored one goal on March 26th for her 258th point of her career to become Immaculata's all-time career leader in points. Murray scored all three goals for Immaculata in their game against undefeated DeSales on Saturday.
Lindsey Fagan (Gr., Neumann): Lindsey Fagan scored seven goals, added three assists and grabbed 12 draw controls in a 1-1 week for Neumann. In a 17-11 loss to Stevenson to open the week, the graduate student had three goals and two assists. Fagan followed with four goals and an assist with 10 draw controls in a 19-6 win at Bryn Athyn.
Cheyenna Avellino (Sr., Gwynedd Mercy): Avellino totaled 4 points (3g, 1a), 9 shots, 2 ground balls, 5 caused turnovers, and a dozen (12) draws in a 0-2 week against the US Merchant Marine Academy and Albright College. She recorded all 4 points, 8 shots, 2 ground balls, 3 caused turnovers, and 8 draws against the Lions.
Addison Yackel (Fr., Immaculata): Addison Yackel had a combined eight ground balls, four caused turnovers, and eight draw controls to go along with one goal and one assist over two games. Yackel had six ground balls, three caused turnovers, with four draw controls with a goal and an assist vs Delaware Valley on March 26th. She had two ground balls, one caused turnover, and four draw controls vs DeSales on Saturday.
Hannah Smith (Sr., Marymount): Hannah Smith earned her first shutout of the season in Marymount's 20-0 win over Eastern Mennonite on Wednesday. Notching six total saves, the senior earned her 400th career save in the net for her career.
Tori Wilson (Sr., Marywood): Wilson produced five caused turnovers and four ground balls in a loss at Montclair State. On the offensive side of the ball, she tallied her first point of the season with an assist.
