Neumann's Conti Gee Receive Final Field Hockey Weekly Award Honors of the Season

HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Field Hockey weekly award winners on Monday, as Neumann’s Cadence Conti and Caley Gee took home Player of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week awards this season.

Player of the Week: Cadence Conti
School: Neumann
Class: Junior
Position: Forward
Hometown: Cedarville, N.J.
High School: Cumberland Regional
Brief Outlook of Week: Conti scored the lone goal as Neumann defeated Immaculata 1-0 to wrap up the regular season and clinch the No. 2 seed in the postseason. Conti was also key in the backfield, holding the Mighty Macs off the scoreboard. 

Defensive Player of the Week: Caley Gee
School: Neumann
Class: Senior
Position: Goalie
Hometown: Baldwinsville, N.Y.
High School: Charles W. Baker
Brief Outlook of Week: Gee made four saves in net as Neumann defeated Immaculata 1-0 in the final game of the regular season. With the win, the Knights clinched the No. 2 seed in the postseason. 
 

Weekly Honor Roll: 
Hannah Doherty, Manhattanville:
The junior made 15 saves in a pair of contests to close out the regular season, starting with six stops on Tuesday against William Paterson. The Valiants then defeated Gwynedd Mercy on Wednesday, a game in which Doherty made nine more saves for her sixth win of the year.
