HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Field Hockey weekly award winners on Monday, as Marywood’s Dariane Jones and Immaculata’s Maria Freeman took home Player of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively.

Player of the Week: Dariane Jones

Class: Senior
Position: Forward
Hometown: Factoryville, Pa.
High School: Lackawanna Trail
Brief Outlook of Week: Jones played a part in all three scores as Marywood completed a 3-2 come-from-behind win over Neumann. Trailing the Knights 2-0 at halftime, Jones finished with two goals and an assist. The senior assisted a goal in the 36th minute before tying the game three minutes later on a penalty corner play. Jones then produced the game-winning goal 40 seconds into the fourth quarter when she tapped in a cross at the far side of the case.

Defensive Player of the Week: Maria Freeman
School: Immaculata
Class: Freshman
Position: Defender
Hometown: Southampton, Pa
High School: Council Rock South
Brief Outlook of Week: Freeman played a pivotal role in 2-0 win over Manhattanville on Friday, helping secure a shutout in the conference play opener.
