LANCASTER, Pa. – The Marywood University field hockey team was picked first by the coaches in the 2024 Atlantic East Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll.
 
The Pacers, who advanced to the AEC title game last season, received 16 points and four first-place votes. Immaculata University was second with 13 points and one first-place vote.
 
Gwynedd Mercy University was third with nine points, followed by Neumann University in fourth with eight points and Manhattanville University in fifth with four points.
 
Action begins on Friday, August 30, with the AEC playoffs beginning on Saturday, November 2. The AEC Championship will be held on Saturday, November 9, at the highest remaining seed.
