LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the 2024 Men's Track & Field Major Award Winners and All-Conference teams on Wednesday afternoon as Gwynedd Mercy, Marywood, and Immaculata all taking home major awards.

Gwynedd Mercy’s Victory Cruz earned Track Athlete of the Year after an incredible showing at the Atlantic East Championship and across the season. Cruz medaled in three events to personal best times. His best event at the conference championship meet was a gold medal in the 200m with a top time of 22.28 He also finished second in the 100m (11.15) and 400m (50.64). Cruz anchored the Gwynedd Mercy 4 x 100m relay team to a championship meet record of 43.35.

Will Kalinich of Marywood was named Field Athlete of the Year after earning a gold, two silver, and a bronze in his four events. He won the javelin with a best throw of 49.98m. He followed that up with a 36.42m discus throw and a 32.98m toss in hammer. His bronze medal came in the shot put with a 12.09m top throw. His field events have been top in the conference throughout the season.

Immaculata’s Elisha Dozier was named Rookie of the Year after an impressive first season for the Mighty Macs. Dozier ranks in the top three in the conference this season in three major events, the 100m, 200m, and the 400m. The rookie finished the season with best times of 10.96 in theh 100m, 22.05 in the 200m, and 50.62 in the 400m. At the Atlantic East Conference Championship Dozier finished third and fourth in the 100m and 200m respectively. He also joined teammates for second in the 4 x 100m relay.

Marywood University claimed the Coaching Staff of the Year accolade after taking home their fifth straight conference title. The team is led by Kevin Borrelli, and assisted by Barry Morgan, Curtis Reynolds, and Shane Mastro.

Lastly, the Atlantic East Elite 20 award winner for men's track & field, which is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average competing at the finals site at each of the Atlantic East's 20 team championships, was awarded to CJ Shygelski of Marywood University. Shygelski member of five-time conference champion Marywood, maintains a cumulative 3.97 GPA while majoring in Biology (Pre-Chiropractic).
