LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men's Basketball weekly award winners on Monday, as Neumann’s Jalen Vaughns and Immaculata’s Tyler Tillery earned Player and Defensive Player of the Week respectively.

Brief Outlook of Week: Vaughns averaged 27.0 points and 8.5 rebounds as Neumann opened the season 0-2. At Franklin & Marshall to start the season, the senior had a double-double with 28 points and 10 rebounds. He followed with 26 points at Manhattanville.
Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Tyler Tillery
School: Immaculata
Class: Graduate Student
Position: Forward
Hometown: Baltimore, Md.
High School: Gerstell Aacademy
Brief Outlook of Week: Tillery had 22 rebounds including 18 on the defensive boards, seven blocked shots, and three steals. Tillery had eight rebounds in Immaculata's win against Valley Forge on November 8th. He registered a double-double in the Mighty Mac's win over Penn State Brandywine on November 11th scoring 18 points with 14 rebounds, five blocked shots, and three steals.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Brendan Franko (Jr., Guard, Marywood): Franko led the Pacers to a 1-2 opening with 18 points per game and a .585 shooting percentage. He scored 23 points in a 77-74 win over Clarks Summit. Franko followed that with 16 points on an 8 of 10 shooting performance against Farmingdale State. He posted a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds against FDU-Florham.
D.J. Johnson (So., Guard, Gwynedd Mercy) - Johnson totaled a team-high seven steals in a 2-1 opening week that included wins over Penn State Abington (W, 82-63) and Carlow (W, 80-56), as well as an overtime loss to #5 Mount Union (L, 82-89 (OT)). He averaged 7.3 ppg, 5.0 rpg, and 3.0 apg. Five of his seven steals came in the season/home opener win over the Nittany Lions, in which he also provided eight points, six rebounds, and four assists. Against the Raiders, Johnson offered 10 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Aziz Parker (Sr., Guard, Gwynedd Mercy - Parker averaged a team-high 15.3 ppg in the Griffins' 2-1 opening week versus Penn State Abington (W, 82-63), #5 Mount Union (L, 82-89 (OT)), and Carlow (W, 80-56). He scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the season/home opener with the Nittany Lions, then averaged 13.5 ppg and 6.0 rpg in Gwynedd Mercy’s two games at the Chatham Tip-Off Classic; against the #5 Raiders, Parker hit the last-second three pointer to extend the contest to the extra frame.
Kenneth Rankin (Fy, Forward, Centenary) –
Rankin averaged 18 points and 5.5 rebounds across his first two career games. Rankin also went 8-8 from the FT line for the Cyclones while tallying three assists and one steal for the week.
