LANCASTER, Pa. – The 2023 Atlantic East Conference Field Hockey Championship is set to begin on Saturday, October 28th and crown the champion on Saturday, November 4th. The Atlantic East Champion will earn the conference’s NCAA Division III Championship automatic qualifier (AQ).
The tournament seeding is as follows: 1. St. Mary’s (Md), 2. Marywood, 3. Immaculata, 4. Cabrini, 5. Neumann, and 6. Gwynedd Mercy
On October 28th the tournament starts with No. 3 seed Immaculata hosting No. 6 Gwynedd Mercy while No. 4 Cabrini is hosting the No. 5 seed Neumann. The semifinal round will take place on Wednesday, November 1
st, with top seed St. Mary’s hosting the lowest remaining seed while No. 2 Marywood will host the other first round winner. The 2023 championship game will take place on Saturday, November 4th at the highest remaining seed. All game times will be set by the home team and are subject to change.
St. Mary’s takes the top seed in the tournament for the third straight year. The Seahawks hope to continue their successful season and advance to their third straight conference championship game. Marywood, Cabrini along with Wesley have won all of the field hockey conference titles since the Atlantic East inception in 2018.
