LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Field Hockey weekly awards on Tuesday, naming Cabrini's Caroline Gallagher offensive player of the week and Courtney Keith defensive player of the week.
Offensive Player of the Week:
Name: Caroline Gallagher
School: Cabrini University
Class: Junior
Position: Midfield

High School: Middle Township
Brief Outlook of Week: Gallagher led the Cavaliers to a 3-0 week with 18 points on eight goals and a pair of assists. The junior opened the campaign with a pair of goals in a 6-1 win at Del Val. She added a career best four goals in the Cavaliers' 5-0 win over Lycoming and paired two goals and two assists in a 6-0 victory over FDU-Florham to close the Drew Fall Festival.
Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Courtney Keith
School: Cabrini University
Class: Sophomore
Position: Goalie
Hometown: Phoenixville, PA
High School: Archbishop Carroll
Brief Outlook of Week: In three games, Keith posted three shutouts. Made one save in the win over Delaware Valley, three saves against Delaware Valley and did not face a shot in the win over Lycoming.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Celina Kaufman (St. Mary's / SR / F): Celina Kaufman notched the game-winning goal in St. Mary's first win of the season - a 3-2 double overtime win at Stevenson. Kaufman converted a penalty stroke 13 seconds into the second extra frame for the victory.
Caitlyn Thornton (Gwynedd / GR / F): Graduate forward Caitlyn Thornton (Ivyland, Pa.) found sophomore forward Amber Sims (Perkasie, Pa.) toward the end of the first quarter (1-0, 14:11) and then sophomore forward Cheyenne Avellino (Egg Harbor, N.J.) in the final minute (2-1, 59:02) to secure Gwynedd Mercy University a dramatic 2-1 victory at Cedar Crest College. She totaled three shots and seven corners during the Griffins' 1-1 week.
