LANCASTER, Pa. - The Cabrini Cavaliers sit atop the 2022 Atlantic East Conference Men's Soccer Preseason Poll, as voted upon by the conference's head coaches. 

The reigning conference champions tallied 35 points in the poll as well as five first-place votes. The 2021 champions defeated Neumann 4-0 in the conference title match.

Marymount University landed second in the poll with 27 points and a first-place vote. Tied for third, and only one point behind the Saints, were Neumann University and Immaculata University. The Knights earned the final first-place vote.

Marywood University tallied 14 points to land at fifth while Centenary University and Gwynedd Mercy University rounded out the poll with 13 points and six points, respectively. 

Six teams open their season on Thursday, September 1 while Centenary will see its first contest on Friday, September 2. Conference play will commence on Wednesday, October 5 with match-ups between Cabrini and Neumann, Centenary and Marywood as well as Marymount and Gwynedd Mercy.
 

The 2022 Atlantic East Tournament is set to begin with the quarterfinal round on Saturday, October 29, followed by the semifinals on Tuesday, November 1, and the title contest on Saturday, Nov 5.
