Women's Lacrosse 5/12/2022 10:00:00 AM Little, Dunn Headline Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Squads LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women's Lacrosse All-Conference teams and major award winners on Thursday morning, as Cabrini University and Marymount University earned major honors. Cabrini's Olivia Little earned Player of the Year after having a conference-leading 105 point season on 66 goals and 39 assists. The senior dominated on both sides of the field being one of Cabrini's most dangerous attackers while also causing 32 turnovers, scooping 61 ground balls and winning 104 draw controls. The midfielder was also named the tournament MVP of the women's lacrosse championship after having a 6 point game (4 goals and 2 assists) with 11 draw controls in the semifinal round as well as a 6 point performance (5 goals and 1 assist) with 9 draw controls in the championship game. Little also became the 5th player in Cabrini's program history to record a 100 point season after scoring her 100th career goal in the championship game. Caitlyn Dunn of Marymount was named Defensive Player of the Year after anchoring the Saints' defensive line. Dunn led the conference with 41 caused turnovers and also had 61 ground balls on the season. The senior helped Marymount reach the conference championship game and earn the #2 seed in the conference tournament. The Rookie of the Year accolade was awarded to Taylor Chepren of Marymount after proving to be one of the Saints' key contributors this season. The freshman attacker scored 20 goals and added 25 assists for a total of 45 points. Chepren's 25 asissts put her at 5th in the conference. Cabrini garnered Coaching Staff of the Year after finishing with an undefeated coference record and earning the top seed for the 2022 Atlantic East Playoffs. The coaching staff, consisting of Jackie Neary, Julie Cross, Melissa Michels, Jamie O'Hanlon, Coley Ricci and Sean Ralph guided the Cavs to their third-straight Atlantic East Women's Lacrosse title this season. Lastly, the Atlantic East Elite 20 award winner for women's lacrosse, which is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average competing at the finals site at each of the Atlantic East's 20 team championships, was awarded to Shannon Agnew of Cabrini University.
