Marywood's Karly Kaminsky Announced As Conference’s Communications and Multimedia Content Specialist

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference has announced the hiring of Karly Kaminsky as the league’s Communications and Multimedia Content Specialist for the 2019-20 academic year, with the paid opportunity made possible through the NCAA Division III Diversity funding for conference offices.

Kaminsky, a Women’s Track and Field, Women’s Golf and Field Hockey student- athlete from Marywood University, is a senior working towards a Communications Digital Media and Journalism degree. She has been named a Conference Champion in Track and Field, a two-time Conference Champion in the Javelin, a Conference Champion in the Heptathlon, a runner up in the 4x400 meter relay this past season, holds the Conference and School record in the Javelin, a Bronze Medal recipient for ECAC in Javelin, received multiple Athlete of the Week Awards, AEC All-Academic Team for all prospected sports, Women’s Golf Conference runner-up, ECAC Academic Honor Roll, and has USTFCCA Academic Distinction. 

Besides her many accolades inside the conference, the multi-sport student-athlete is involved with both the Athletic and Communication departments on campus. She is the producer for the Communications department show 'Beyond the Arch' and has been a TV Marywood anchor along with covering many events around campus and being involved with the school newspaper “The Woodword” and the school’s radio station 91.7 VMFM. She is also a member of the National Honor Society for Leadership and Success and volunteers for events in the Scranton area.

This past summer she also completed an internship with Fox 29 in Philadelphia, helping with multiple tasks such at Good Day Philadelphia, The Q, The ClassHroom and helping with the station’s social media accounts.

Kaminsky will assist the office this academic year by producing new social media plans along with more game coverage tactics. She will assist in marketing and communication duties with new ideas and designs, as well as website maintenance and archival work for all sports.
